About The Founder

Geronimo Sam-Korsah, known as Gino, is a certified entrepreneur and a civil engineering graduate with a deep-rooted passion for music. Growing up in a household where music was ever-present—his late father being a passionate guitarist—Gino developed an intrinsic love for the art. However, in a family where music was seen as a hobby rather than a career, pursuing a future in the music business was not encouraged.

If you grew up in Ghana, you’d know that most middle-to-upper-class families traditionally steer their children toward professions like law, medicine, engineering, or media rather than music. Following the footsteps of respected figures in his family, Gino pursued higher education and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Hanze University Groningen in the Netherlands.

The Birth of Gino XXL Entertainment

Gino XXL Entertainment was born out of years of underrated yet invaluable experience, gained through networking with successful entrepreneurs, participating in self- and business-development seminars and workshops, and working alongside professional musicians.

As an amateur musician, Gino was a member of the Aggrey Memorial Zion Secondary School Choir before venturing into rap and DJing during college, where he earned the nickname "Nibees." Over time, he became widely known as Gino XXL within the underground music scene.

One of his breakthrough moments came when he successfully secured his third official international booking for R2Bees, the award-winning Afrobeat group from Ghana, for a Tolhuistuin Amsterdam summer concert. He also managed the group’s first and second tours in the Netherlands and co-DJ’d alongside DJ Henry X during R2Bees’ first-ever performance in the Netherlands at the Made-In-Ghana Events at Grand Café Amsterdam Southeast.

Another major milestone was booking Ghanaian Afrobeat star Castro Underfire for the Glasgow African Festival / Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014. Castro was widely known for his hit collaboration "Adonai" with B.E.T Award-winning artist Sarkodie. Tragically, Castro mysteriously disappeared on July 30, 2014, just before his scheduled performance.

Media & Radio Experience

Gino’s involvement in radio began in 2008/2009, when he co-hosted and served as the main DJ for a live entertainment show on Radio Razo, a multicultural community radio station in Amsterdam. Later, he became a co-host of the award-winning Hip-Hop Valley Show, hosted by DJ Sonsy, which won the "Best Program" award at the annual Amsterdamse Media Prijs (2013), competing alongside the renowned FUNX Radio.
